Using the concept of a tree root, RapidRoot uses an arrangement of angled micro piles and pile caps to spread the foundation over a greater surface area enabling us to achieve larger load capacities, faster and more cost effectively.
Completely hand portable and installed by hand using a purpose built pile driver, RapidRoot requires no heavy plant & machinery making it particularly useful in applications with limited access availability.
Utilised for a variety of applications and environments, King Post Walls are versatile retaining methods for creating loading and storage bays which deal with loose aggregates, waste & recycling facilities.
They are often a very cost effective solution for many sites where sheet piles might be unsuitable because of ground conditions, or very hard ground.
This piling method is ideal for use in cohesive soils. The rotating auger is forced into the strata reaming out the soil as it goes. Once the required or desired depth has been met the augers are withdrawn leaving an “open hole”. Steel reinforcement is then placed before being filled with concrete.
Below are a number of advantages when considering this type of foundation system
Speed of installation and curing times are one of the main factors people are now choosing this kind of design
Some of the main advantages this type of foundation is used for.
Advantages for using Helical /Screwpiles.
Reduced time (no waiting for curing)
• Structures can be loaded almost straight away once piles have been installed
• Fewer machines are required onsite during the installation process
• Improved safety on site, less earth movement, quick installation time with a site team typically consisting of 2-3 individuals
• Environmental legacy – can be ‘unscrewed’ and removed in the future compare the traditional concrete methods
• Due to the speed, the overall installation process lowers inconvenience caused to the general public both on commercial and domestic projects
• Reduction is carbon footprint when considering transport and overall site logistics
At JA Construction site services we offer a bespoke lifting service. We have the capability to plan and undertake complex lifting operations within the construction industry.
We have trained and competent slinger signallers , lift supervisors and appointed persons with years of experience to assist with any of your lifting requirements.
A CHS pile can be utilised in many ground conditions and compared to bottom driven piling, it uses a much cleaner and quicker installed displacement pile with a much more robust wall thickness.
CHS pile which stands for Circular Hollow Section, can be top driven or vibrated through soft layers and produces excellent pressure and horizontal capabilities.
We have the knowledge/experience and the equipment to carry out on-site modifications and rectifications work. We understand that the best plans sometimes change due to unforeseen circumstances and having the flexibility to be able to adapt to a situation on-site is something we can offer our customers.
